Privacy Policy

Exploring Magic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website to help guests research and compare Walt Disney World resorts. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@exploringmagic.com.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal details to browse the site. Specifically:

• No accounts or profiles. We don’t collect names, passwords, or contact details just to use the site.
• Saved items and search settings stay in your browser. Features like saved resorts and your most recent search dates are stored locally on your device (using your browser’s localStorage/sessionStorage). This data is not sent to us, and you can clear it anytime from your browser settings.
• No Disney session or cookie data. We do not collect, store, or transmit your Disney login, session cookies, or any credentials from official Disney websites.
• Analytics, only with your consent. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
• Information you choose to send us. If you use the travel-agent lead form, we collect the details you submit. See “The travel-agent lead form” below.

We use Google Analytics to understand how guests use the site (for example, which pages are popular) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you navigate between pages.

Analytics is off until you accept. When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies. Google Analytics does not load or send any data unless you choose “Accept.” If you choose “Reject,” it stays off. You can change your choice anytime using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We also honor your browser’s Do Not Track setting: if Do Not Track is enabled, analytics stays off regardless of the banner.

The only personal information you actively provide to us is through our travel-agent lead form (where available). If you use that form, we collect the details you enter — your name and email, an optional phone number, and optional trip details (such as party size, travel dates or window, resort interest, budget, parks of interest, and any message you include).

We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. When you submit the form, you agree to be contacted about your trip, and your submission is delivered to us by email through our email delivery provider, Resend, so we can follow up with you about planning a Walt Disney World trip. Exploring Magic is run by an independent travel agent, so your request comes directly to us — it is not sold or handed to a separate agency.

• We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
• Your submission lives in the resulting email(s) to us and to you; we do not maintain a separate marketing database of lead details on this site.
• To withdraw your request or ask us to remove your details, email privacy@exploringmagic.com and we will delete the information we hold.

If the travel-agent lead form is not yet available on the site, this section describes how your information will be handled once it is.

We keep third parties to a minimum and share only what each service needs to do its job:

• Google Analytics (usage analytics, only with your consent) — Google Privacy Policy.
• Resend (email delivery for travel-agent lead form submissions) — Resend Privacy Policy.

• Analytics cookies: change your decision anytime with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or enable Do Not Track in your browser to keep analytics off entirely.
• Locally saved data: clear your saved resorts and search settings from your browser’s site-data controls.
• Lead-form contact: you only share details if you choose to submit the form; submitting it is your agreement to be contacted about your trip. To withdraw afterward, email privacy@exploringmagic.com.

Locally saved items and search settings remain on your device until you clear them. Analytics data is retained by Google according to your property settings and Google’s policies. Lead-form emails are retained by us only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, and are deleted on request.

This site is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through the lead form, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the site evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
